Challenge Melbourne - What a day!

Well another Challenge Melbourne has been run and won… And for another year the Melbourne weather turned it on for athletes and spectators alike! Well done to all athletes who started and finished the race in testing conditions!

We had first timers, PBs, podiums and comebacks on Sunday. Special mention to Miah Franzmann and Coach Jamie Edwards for turning it on and taking wins in their respective age groups. In the process they were also crowned Asia Pacific Half Irondistance champions and Victorian long distance champs – not a bad day!

Racing machine Carl Fannon also took a podium spot in his age group to finish off another great season. Well done also to Bassam Hallack and Sam Friedman for smashing big half ironman PBs. Both looking good for Cairns Ironman in 9 weeks.
