Dane Heaysman pushed hard all day with a 10:56. Unfortunately Dane had to contend with illness on race day, which showed in his result! Good on ya Dane for a strong effort

Hawaii venue based athletes

Matty Lewis and Peter Coulson, from VU swim squad, both had good days of racing. Matty ran a 3:12 marathon to run himself into top ten in his category, while Peter got the glow stick out and made it home in 15:20.

Melbourne Marathon

Denis Brown led the way with a 7min PB of 2:55. Denis has a long history of Marathon running and certainly found a new gear on Sunday, well done Denis. Deb Rielly, Ian Scott , Gary Pitman and Lyndon Virgona also had solid days out. Gary ran hard from the start and stopped the clock in a 3:21.

Melbourne Half Marathon

Aimee Schicker ran a 1.33 on tired legs, 5 weeks out from Shep 70.3

Janet, (AKA – Big boys wife) had a great hit out in, and I quote “my last half marathon ever”.

Mark Heaysman, Dane's father had a great half marathon also with a solid 1:58
